Optical solutions provider, StingRay Optics has released the all refractive SuperBand Optic.
The company designed the achromatized superspectral lens series to keep pace with the rapidly advancing detector technology. The lens assemblies enable achromatic imaging from the visible to far-infrared spectrum. It is suitable for systems consisting of multiple sensors, emerging dual-detector arrays through a common aperture approach, and stacked focal plane arrays.
The three SuperBand lens assemblies that are currently available include 100, 50 and 25 mm focal lengths and can be used with cooled detectors, which offer a cold shielding arrangement of F/2.5, and with the15 µm FPA and 640x512 formats. Other lens configurations include choices for large format FPAs, dual FOVs designs, varying F/# systems and alternate sensitivity ranges.
StingRay’s SuperBand products will be revealed at the 2011 SPIE's Defense Security and Sensing Exhibition from 25 to 29 April, 2011 at Florida’s Orlando World Center Marriott Resort & Convention Center.
