Stemmer Imaging Now Offers GigE Cameras from IDS

A new range of GigE cameras from IDS is now available from STEMMER IMAGING. The GigE uEye CP has an extremely compact housing of just 29 x 29 x 41 mm, yet offers all the benefits of Gigabit Ethernet technology such as bandwidth of more than 100 MByte/s over cable lengths up to 100 metres, as well as featuring Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity.

The combination of the small dimensions and PoE capability, which allows both power and data to be sent over a single ethernet cable, ensures that the GigE uEye CP is ideally suited to applications where space is severely restricted, as well as reducing costs and simplifying installation. A lockable connector for an external 12-24V power supply is also provided for non-PoE configurations, as well as trigger and strobe connections.

Available in colour or monochrome versions and a choice of WVGA, 1.3 Mpixel and 5 Mpixel resolution, the GigE uEye CP range features high performance CMOS sensors with global and rolling shutters to give excellent image quality. All cameras have a C-mount lens connector and offer a host of different optical filters, such as IR, daylight-cut filter or glass.

The new range, like all other uEye camera models, comes complete with powerful, tried-and-tested software tools such as Camera Manager and uEye Demo to facilitate rapid camera integration. Camera Manager guarantees easy and fast Plug-and-Play-configuration on both Windows and Linux systems. For added versatility, the cameras are supplied complete with interfaces for various image processing packages, including Common Vision Blox from STEMMER IMAGING; standard drivers such as DirectShow (WDM); a GenICam™ interface and a Software Development Kit.
