Ciralight Global, manufacturer of solar daylighting products, has released its new SunTrackerTHREE ‘Smart Skylight’ active daylighting system in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
The system includes Ciralight’s proprietary Solar-Powered GPS Controller for tracking the sun all through the day. It reflects the day light indoors till the sun sets, enabling significant power savings for around 10 h in a day. The skylight, which measures 4’x8’, can be installed in new constructions or can be used to replace passive skylights in older buildings. It also has heat traps that prevent heat transmission, unlike traditional passive skylights.
The Smart Skylights provide greater power savings than other renewable energy products including wind turbines and solar panels, leading to a higher return on investment and a shorter payback period. It also provides human health benefits.
Many retailers and businesses including IKEA, Whole Foods, Johnson and Johnson, Frito Lay, LG, Emerson and Boeing and school districts including Los Angeles Community College District, Los Angeles Unified School District and the US Navy have installed Ciralight Global’s Smart Skylights.
