DepthQ Polarization Modulator Displays Spectacular Stereoscopic 3D Films

Lightspeed Design has launched the DepthQ Polarization Modulator that is capable of delivering a stunning 3D user experience.

The product will be showcased at the CinemaCon tradeshow to be held from March 29-31, 2011 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas.

The DepthQ delivers high standards of motion picture image quality that matches the requirements of Hollywood’s image quality criteria. Synchronization of light can be achieved by changing the polarity of light with triple-flash. The DepthQ delivers a unique 3D experience for screens measuring up to 13.7 m and is compatible with 18.5K ANSI Lumen projectors.

The simple and easy-to-install equipment has been approved by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The DepthQ works well with typical polarized 3D glasses and all DLP projectors. The two position actuator present in the DepthQ Polarization Modulator enables users to switch conveniently toggle between 2D and 3D.

A low-crosstalk switching operation can be achieved with a switching time of 50 ms. The DepthQ Polarization Modulator was jointly developed by LC-Tec Displays and Lightspeed Design.
