Siemon, provider of ultra-performance fiber optic cabling solutions, has unveiled various OM4 fiber optic products such as OM4 Plug and Play fiber cable assemblies, traditional field-terminated connectors and cables, and pre-terminated duplex trunking cables.
40Gb/s and 100Gb/s OM4 Plug and Play Fiber Optic Cabling Assemblies
The products offer future-proof migration choices for 100 and 40 Gb/s applications speeds as well as an extended distance multimode choice for 10 Gb/s.
A broad range of factory-terminated cable assemblies, featuring Siemon’s 12-fiber MTP connectors and RazorCore cable, support the adapters and modules of the improved OM4 Plug and Play system. The 40/100 Gb/s-ready MTP-to-MTP cable assemblies are available in customized lengths. They are developed to be hauled and linked swiftly to MTP adapter plates or Plug and Play modules.
Siemon’s factory terminated SC-to-SC or LC-to-LC and MTP-to-LC fiber trunking cable assemblies also come in OM4 setups. The SC-to-SC and LC-to-LC trunks offer ultra performance 10 Gb/s fiber links and eliminate performance inconsistency and difficulty of field terminations, while the 10 Gb/s MTP-to-LC assemblies enable multi-fiber MTP connectors to incorporate with SC or LC interface in existing network device.
Siemon’s major OM4 fiber products line also comprises indoor-outdoor loose tube and tight buffer cable, indoor interlocking armor tight buffer cable and 10 Gb/s indoor tight buffer distribution cable with LS0H, OFNP and OFNR jacket types. With the help of ready-to-use OM4 systems, data center links can be installed quickly than conventional field terminations.
