New Jersey-based utility company, Public Service Electric and Gas (PSE&G) proclaimed that it has finished the deployment of a rooftop solar panel system at its headquarters.
The solar panel system with a capacity of nearly one MW consists of 4,180 thin film solar panels and 648 crystalline solar panels.
According to PSE&G, the Central Division solar panel system is the first of the company’s six solar panel systems to be installed on its buildings in New Jersey. In total, the company intends to spend $515 million for the development of the solar arrays, a scheme called as Solar 4 All. In the past one year, the company has deployed about 35 MW of solar panel systems across New Jersey.
The Vice President at PSE&G, Al Matos commented that the company has deployed a huge amount of solar power capacity within a short period of time.
PSE&G also declared that it has commenced the deployment of a 0.7 MW capacity solar panel system at its Edison Training and Development Center building located in Edision, New Jersey.
