Corning’s telecommunications division, Corning Cable Systems has declared that it will deliver its passive fiber optical systems to Astanatelecom for the significant fiber to the home (FTTH) pilot project in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
Astanatelecom’s proposed project will link 1,000 single-family homes in the expanding city of Astana.
Corning’s flexible Evolant Solutions for FTTx networks feature the company’s bend-insensitive ClearCurve single-mode fibre, no-epoxy/no-polish connectors and preterminated solutions, making SFU installations quick and convenient.
The Evolant Solutions offer economical deployment of fiber even to the customer in the last mile. With its unique products and services, Evolant Solutions provide deployment support, system design and network planning.
The Senior Vice President of Carrier Networks at Corning Cable Systems, Gilbert Chorosz commented that the company’s design and technical knowledge would assist Astanatelecom to deploy a durable, economical, modern broadband network to the residents of Astana.
