Sharp Launches LED-Backlit LCD Monitor for Digital Signage Applications

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA) has launched a compact PN-T321 professional 32” LCD monitor for digital signage applications.

Its LED backlight provides high performance and conserves energy. It does not need an external computer, allowing for a USB thumb drive to be integrated into the digital display to provide automatic slide show with audio playback feature. The ENERGY STAR certified device also features the SDSS Sharp Digital Signage Software.

The monitor’s High Aperture TFT LCD panel has a 1366x768 HD resolution for brightness of 420 cd/m(2). It has wide viewing angles and offers a bright image. The LED backlight design also reduces the size and weight of the monitor. The integrated USB thumb drive slide show feature and optional image transitions enables the display to be deployed as a stand-alone digital system in small premises. A built-in 8 /channel amplifier and speakers provide clear audio.

The monitor has multiple input terminals, DVI-D, analog RGB, composite video, component video, USB slot for audio files and slide show, RS-232C input and two stereo audio inputs. It also has a stereo line out and supports the VESA DDC-2B Standard for plug and play between compatible PCs and monitors. The PN-T321 complies with DVI DMPM and VESA DPMS standards.

SIICA is a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation.
