TCP Introduces CFL Lamps with Digital InstaBright Technology

TCP, provider of energy-saving lighting solutions, has launched a new line of completely dimmable compact fluorescent lamps (CFL) called the TruDim CFL Series.

The lamps’ innovative CFL design enhances the warm-up time, operating life and dimming range of existing dimmable CFL technology.

The TruDim CFL Series has a dimming range from 100% to 2%, equivalent to the dimming performance of human eye and features TCP’s sophisticated IC chip control. The TruDim CFL lamp integrates TCP's digital InstaBright technology that provides 75% faster brightness than competitive CFLs. It switches on the lights at a low-dimming level and thus eradicates the requirement to configure the dimmer in full-on mode when the lights are switched on.

The TruDim’s 16 W R30 version comes with numerous color temperature options such as Daylight 6500 K and soft white 2700 K. The series’ 14 W R20 version and other products are still in the planning stage, according to TCP. All CFL items from the company comply with RoHS, UL and FCC certifications. More than 100 products of TCP have received the ‘Energy Star’ title from the US Department of Energy.

The Chief Executive Officer at TCP, Ellis Yan commented that the TruDim CFL Series is the first product in the industry that has a dimming capacity equivalent to that of an incandescent bulb. The longer operating life of 12,000 h under regular use and quick warm-up are the special features of the new product series, he added.
