OSRAM SYLVANIA, Lowe's Unveil Energy-Efficient LED Recessed Downlight Kit

OSRAM SYLVANIA, provider of lighting solutions, has collaborated with Lowe's, to unveil its groundbreaking LED lighting solution called the SYLVANIA LED Recessed Downlight Kit.

The lighting solution has a sleek design and offers optimal light output with minimum energy consumption. The product is currently available on Lowes.com and will be available in the Lowe's stores from March 2011.

The 6² LED recessed downlight comes with white trim, 3000 K color temperature and a medium base socket adapter. Its 11 W version offers a brightness of 625 lm when compared to a normal 65 W incandescent BR30 light bulb. The light can be deployed easily into most of the normal 6² can fixtures such as non-insulated ceiling (IC), insulated IC cans and IC cans surrounded by insulation.

The SYLVANIA LED Recessed Downlight Kit offers high-energy efficacy, quality white light and better optical design that will considerably enhance the aesthetic appeal of ceiling lighting in houses. It has a longer operating life and has earned both the US Department of Energy-sponsored Lighting Facts label and ETL certification. It also surpasses the Title 24 high-effectiveness luminaire needs of California and is expected to get ENERGY STAR certification in May 2011.
