Samsung Electronics America is exhibiting its advanced commercial display products at the Digital Signage Expo (DSE).
The event will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The company will exhibit its -3 LCD Series as well as the 55” LED backlit commercial display, 550UT. The former series has an optional slide-in module, while the latter offers a 1920x1080 HD resolution that reduces image pixilation.
The 550UT large format display has automatic color calibration feature and ultra-thin bezels, which makes it suitable for video wall installations in shopping malls, hotels, airports and public venues. The direct-lit LED technology in the display reduces both power consumption and heat output and maintains an even brightness. The 550UT display will be launched into the market in summer 2011.
Samsung’s -3 LCD display series consist of five models that are available in various size options and feature sets. They are suitable for public transportation, retail, government and education venues.
The DisplayPort digital connection in the LCD series controls high bandwidth signals for enhanced connectivity. The -3 displays also feature a RJ45 LAN to streamline the monitor control across a network and are equipped with HDMI, DVI, Composite and VGA connectivity options.
An innovative slide-in-module expansion slot in the -3 Series models enables users to include an integrated PC with MagicInfo software. Display operators can update the content by inserting the PC in and out of the LCD display without removing the unit from the wall.
Samsung will also exhibit a novel interactive surface table called SUR40. It can be integrated in other furniture and fixtures or can be mounted on a wall. Other Samsung products such as Horizon Multi-touch displays, the Samsung Syncmaster LED commercial displays and e-board will also be showcased at DSE.
