OMRON is planning to unveil two new safety light curtains on 28 February, 2011. The F3SJ-B and the F3SJ-E are the latest members of the company’s F3SJ Series and are ideal for all types of production facilities and purposes.
F3SJ Series safety light curtains, F3SJ-B and F3SJ-E
The F3SJ-B is a basic type light curtain that has muting functions, interlock, EDM and plus serial connection functionalities, making it suitable for more challenging applications. The F3SJ-E is an easy type light curtain, which assures that machineries are halted when the presence of human is detected and considerably reduces the man-hours needed for calibration, maintenance and deployment.
The new F3SJ Series’ noise tolerance has been enhanced to reduce unwanted stoppage of machineries. The F3SJ-E has less number of wires, optional laser and built-in LED indicators, thus the time needed for deployment and configuration has been decreased by 50%. The LED indicators with spontaneous and simple error indication decreases the time needed for recovery operations. The new mounting brackets facilities simple mechanical deployment of the aluminum-housing and enables easy assembling.
The F3SJ Series safety light curtains feature an optimal response time of 15 ms, irrespective of the safety light curtain’s length and thus eliminates the requirement for readjusting the safety distance whenever the safety light curtain’s length is changed.
