Sony has expanded its BVM-E series of Trimaster EL OLED displays by introducing two new products called the BVM-E170 and the BVM-E250. The BVM-E170, a 17"display, and the BVM-E250, a 25" display, are available in rich blacks and striking colors.

ay units, which are based on organic light emitting diode technology, provide high clarity and consume minimum power. The monitors have 10-bit RGB color, complete HD resolution of 1920×1080, DisplayPort, HDMI and 3G/HD/SD-SDI connections. They are specially designed for broadcast and professional studio customers.
The BVM-E250 is anticipated to be available in the market in April 2011, while the BVM-E170 will be launched in late June 2011.
Sony Professional Solutions Europe’s Senior Product Specialist, Daniel Dubreuil commented that the new monitors are innovative products in professional displays and offer superior picture quality that is better than competitive products. The innovative OLED technology is suitable for applications that demand visual precision and performance as it provides better color precision, consistency, durability and image reproduction, Dubreuil said.
