Power Technology Unveils MK Laser Module for Machine Vision Applications

Power Technology announced that it has unveiled a new laser module that is ideal for machine vision applications such as illumination, fluorescence, web inspection, high speed rail and road inspection, dimensional scanning, and 3D profiling.

The MK laser module, featuring PTI electronics and beam quality, serves as an ideal replacement for existing machine vision lasers.

Power Technology’s Vice-President of Sales and Engineering, Walter Burgess stated that the company’s business model is ideal for markets requiring structured light lasers. He added that the laser module has the potential to deliver output powers between 150 mW and 8 W with a wavelength range from 635 to 1064 nm.

The company’s Vice-President of Operations, William Burgess added that MK laser module has a rugged industrial design that keeps the laser diode at a stable temperature.

The device can also be configured for performance at long or close range because of a wide collection of customizable optics.
