Runco Expands LightStyle Series with High-Bright, Single-Chip 1080p Projector

Pioneer in high-end video solutions, Runco has expanded its LightStyle Series projector portfolio by launching a high-bright projector called the LightStyle LS-HB.

It is designed specifically for those environments where lighting cannot be controlled effectively such as entertainment areas in homes, media rooms and living rooms. The LightStyle Series also comprises the 3-chip DLP solutions such as the LS-7, the LS-10d and the LS-10i.

The single-chip 1080p projector can be used in ‘Flex-Theatres’ where environmental aspects such as shadows and sunlight present a major challenge to even highly efficient front projection systems.

The LightStyle Series features an advanced DLP-based SuperOnyx technology and offers a high-bright image of up to 2,500 lm in ultra-brightness mode. It uses the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) calibration suite for maximum performance such as ISF Night and ISF Day presets that further improves the options of utilization and deployment. The LS-HB is equipped with Runco’s internal video processing for efficient analogue-to-digital signal conversion and scaling.

The LS-10 projectors feature the company’s CineGlide lens technology that allows a mechanical, motorized 2.35:1 anamorphic lens to shift in front of the regular lens for accurate Scope reproduction. The technology allows end-users to change from 16:9 to 2.35:1 content with a simple touch of the button. The company’s FinishPalette design offers a customized and aesthetic appeal to the LS-HB.
