Klastech Introduces Concerto 442 nm Laser for Bio-Fluorescence Market

Klastech Laser Technologies, manufacturer of DPSS and UV lasers, has introduced a new laser that is ideal for the bio-fluorescence market.

The Concerto 442 nm laser, featuring a low noise signature and enhanced Gaussian beam quality, was previewed as a prototype in 2010. The device has now entered serial production with available output powers of more than 100 mW.

The Concerto laser provides a single frequency performance, which makes it ideal for Raman and other kinds of spectroscopy applications where diode lasers do not have the required narrow line width.

The laser also offers a coherent length of over 100 m for applications needing extended coherence lengths on large He-Cd lasers. This coherent length of over 100 m makes the Concerto laser ideal for rapid prototyping, disc mastering and holography applications.
