Solev Introduces Ultra-Finesse Laser Decoration Technique for Cosmetic Packaging

French packaging provider, Solev has introduced an Ultra-finesse laser decoration technique to enhance the aesthetic appeal of cosmetic packaging. It can create decoration on lacquered or metalilised surfaces to produce micro-hatching finish and micro-detail.

Solev's Ultra-finesse laser decoration technique

The new laser technique will offer packaging designers more options to provide enhanced finish and extra detail demanded in the luxury-packaging market. The laser finish is suitable for glass fragrance bottles as it improves the radiance as well as the thickness of the glass. The finish refracts the light and highlights the contrast between the glass and the metal finish.

Solev claimed that the effect offers a modern yet discreet micro-graphics and provides a high-class branding option to the product. The Ultra-finesse technique could be utilized on a new 100% black non-metallic lacquer to offer numerous unique finishes that are not possible with conventional decoration techniques. The technique can also be performed on certain tinted or crystalline plastics such as polypropylene (PP) and poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA).
