NEC Unveils 30-Inch LCD Monitor for Color-Critical Applications

NEC Display Solutions has unveiled a new 30” display that has a 10-bit P-IPS panel, which replicates 107% of the Adobe RGB color space and 1.07 billion colors.

The SpectraView Reference 301 monitor can be hardware-calibrated and is ideal for color-critical applications. It has enhanced uniformity and high resolution, making it ideal for video editing, soft-proofing, and prepress applications.

The SpectraView Profiler software utilizes a 14-bit LUT to deliver enhanced color precision and 42 bit color control. The monitor provides a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and offers professionals with high-quality images over the desktop region. It also has Digital Uniformity Control (ColorComp), 3D LUT and Backlight Ageing Correction that assure improved brightness uniformity and color stability.

The height of the SpectraView Reference 301 monitor can be altered up to 150 mm. The monitor can be viewed in both portrait and landscape mode. It has two DVI-D interfaces and two DisplayPorts, providing users with sophisticated connectivity. The monitor also has a programmable USB hub and a Picture by Picture feature that enables two image sources from dissimilar PC platforms to be controlled with a mouse and keyboard.
