NASSCOM Recognizes Tejas TJ1600 Packet Optical Transport Solution at Innovation Awards 2011

Provider of optical transport solutions, Tejas Networks announced that it has been honored at the NASSCOM Innovation Awards 2011 for New Technology Advancement for its TJ1600 Packet Optical Transport (POTP) solution.

The Innovation Awards honor those companies that achieve high standards in innovation and promote the innovation culture within the industry. Tejas Networks has received the recognition from NASSCOM for the second consecutive year.

Tejas Networks’ MD and Chief Executive Officer, Sanjay Nayak stated that the company is pleased to be recognized by NASSCOM. He added that several operators in India have installed the company’s Packet Optical Transport solutions successfully.

The President Engineering at Tejas Networks, Arnob Roy remarked that the Tejas POTP platform allows service providers to shift 2G networks with all-voice traffic to 4G/3G networks for data traffic. He continued that the TJ1600 is compatible with advanced technologies such as DWDM, Carrier-grade Ethernet and OTN.
