Provider of fiber optic devices, GAO Fiber Optics has launched a new visual fault locator for maintenance of fiber optic network in CATV and telecommunications systems. The 5101 fault locator is suitable for use with multi-mode or single-mode fiber.
The visual fault locator analyzes bunched pigtails, ribbons or patch cords with precise measurement and universal connector. It offers end- to-end visual fiber identification and a maximum measurement range of 5 km.
The rugged fault locator detects micro-bends and breaks through a jacketed fiber. In addition, it operates for 30 h with a single battery charge and provides a wavelength range of 640-660 nm.
GAO Fiber Optics provides transceivers, fiber optic measurement and test instruments.
