GAO Fiber Optics Releases Visual Fault Locator for Fiber Optic Network Maintenance

Provider of fiber optic devices, GAO Fiber Optics has launched a new visual fault locator for maintenance of fiber optic network in CATV and telecommunications systems. The 5101 fault locator is suitable for use with multi-mode or single-mode fiber.

5101 Visual Fault Locator

The visual fault locator analyzes bunched pigtails, ribbons or patch cords with precise measurement and universal connector. It offers end- to-end visual fiber identification and a maximum measurement range of 5 km.

The rugged fault locator detects micro-bends and breaks through a jacketed fiber. In addition, it operates for 30 h with a single battery charge and provides a wavelength range of 640-660 nm.

GAO Fiber Optics provides transceivers, fiber optic measurement and test instruments.
