GigOptix Receives Orders for GX62455 100 G and GX3220 40 G Optical Communication Solutions

Supplier of electro-optic and electronic components, GigOptix has obtained orders for GX62455 100 G Mach-Zehnder (MZ) optical modulator driver and GX3220 40 G transimpedance amplifier (TIA) solutions from Tier 1 consumers.

The initial orders for 40 G and 100 G optical communication solutions will be shipped in the first half of 2011.

The GX62455 is a 100Gbps quad MZ modulator driver included in a compact form factor GPPO module. This GPPO module comprises high and low frequency chokes and necessitates no external components. The high voltage output GX62455’s connectors are compatible with 100Gbps modulators and multiplexer for convenient system integration.

The GX3220 is a low power differential input linear TIA suitable for 40 Gbps RZ-DQPSK receiver applications. It offers tunable frequencies of up to 32Gbps, support for various photodiodes, as well as low harmonic distortion and increased linearity.

GigOptix provides various electronic devices such as receiver amplifiers, modulator drivers and polymer electro-optic modulators for consumer optical, Infiniband, datacom and telecom systems.
