External DisplayPort Device Shipments to Grow 100% from 2009 to 2014

Research and Markets has released a new report, titled ‘DisplayPort: DP, eDP, and iDP Set to Change Display and PC Landscapes’. The report provides a detailed analysis of the DisplayPort standards.

According to the report, DisplayPort includes three individual standards, namely, internal DisplayPort (iDP), internal interfacesembedded DisplayPort (eDP) and external DisplayPort interface. The external DisplayPort showed some growth in the PC monitor and mobile PC markets. The shipments of the external DisplayPort device would grow 100% from 2009 to 2014.
