Lightware has rolled out a new range of HDMI optical extenders that feature dual output with an inbuilt distribution amplifier.
The 200R, 100R, and 100 range of HDMI Optical Extenders extend HDCP 1.1, DVI 1.0, HDMI 1.3 complaint and bidirectional RS-232 signals over a single multimode fiber. The optical extenders transmit video signals with audio up to a distance of 2600 m.
The optical extenders feature pixel-accurate reclocking, advanced EDID management, RS-232 and HDMI 1.3a connection and pass a HDMI signal through a single fiber. They have 2048×1080 or 1920×1200 resolution with embedded audio features and a 36-bit deep color.
All transmitters feature advanced EDID management with a memory capacity of 100 EDID. Users, by utilizing the Transparent, Custom, or Factory EDID emulation, can lock the EDID data on the input connector. The optical extenders feature single-fiber technology, making them HDCP 1.1 and HDMI 1.3 compliant.
Blake Dudash from the Sales and Marketing Division stated that the optical extenders complement the company’s matrix frames that feature fiber-optic HDCP or HDMI compliant output and input boards.
