Ontario to Get Improved Street Lighting

San Diego City Council has started a new project to upgrade the street lighting in Mount Hope, Ontario. Tony Young, the President of the San Diego City Council, headlined the inauguration ceremony to celebrate the $459,000 lighting project.

Mount Hope will be equipped with two new paved and landscaped medians and 20 new streetlights to meet the safety concerns of the residents. The project will take approximately six months to be completed.

The Southeastern Economic Development Corporation obtained a federal loan to enhance the street lighting in the city. The project was started in 2002. The city received stimulus funds, when the project was joined with median improvements in 2009. The Mount Hope Market Street Median and Street Light Project will provide lighting on six streets, namely Morrison, Toyne, Denby, 43rd, 42nd and 41st.
