Martifer Solar Completes Rooftop Solar Project in Czech Republic

Martifer’s subsidiary, Martifer Solar has deployed solar modules with a total capacity of 2.88 MW on rooftop in Prague, Czech Republic.

The modules were deployed on a combined area of 67,816 sqm, spanning into six separate buildings in the same industrial complex situated in an industrial park in Prague.

A unique support structure for the solar modules was designed to meet the requirement of a perforating system. The support system was modified according to the structure of the facility to ensure its waterproof and solidness.

The new rooftop installation will produce clean energy to meet the power demands of more than 1,400 families and will eliminate over 5,300 tons of CO2 every year.

General Manager for Northern & Central Europe at Martifer Solar, Ricardo Meireles stated that the installation of the 2.88 MW solar modules was done in the framework of the buildings, and ensuring the buildings’ stability and monitoring the safety aspect of the construction proved to be quite complex. Nevertheless, the company is happy to complete such an intricate project, he added.
