OEN Develops Optical Opacity and Dust Monitor for Cement Production Plants

OEN Enterprises announced the launch of a new optical opacity/dust monitor that is ideal for cement production plants, asphalt mixing plants, converter plants, fuel mixtures, and fuel oil.

Optical Dust Monitor

The Durag D-R 290 offers continuous in situ opacity and dust measurements in plants that have dust levels more than 50 mg /m³.

The optical opacity/dust monitor has mounting flanges, purge air system, control and display unit, reflector, and a measuring head. The monitor is based on a microprocessor and uses the principle of double pass auto-collimation. Electronics and optics are accommodated in a sealed out to protect against dust or smoke.

The D-R 290 features opacity measurement ranges from 0–100% or 0–20%. The dust levels range from 0-4000 mg/m³ in duct diameters. The programming is carried out using the remote bus interface or control display unit. The monitor has a wide temperature range between 20 and 50°C. Numerous features such as linearity control, filter set, on-stack display panel, temperature compensation, fail-safe shutters, and explosion-proof operation are also available for the user.
