NH-ICC Receives NHIRC Grant to Commercialize Semiconductor Technology for OLEDs

The New Hampshire Innovation Commercialization Center (NH-ICC) has received a New Hampshire Innovation Research Center (NHIRC) grant to commercialize semiconductor technology for use in OLEDs.

Innovacene, a New Hampshire-based startup company established by the Professor at University of New Hampshire, Glen Miller, developed the semiconductor technology.

Innovacene has developed a thin, lightweight, organic surface-emitting semiconductor coating for OLED applications. The technology would enable manufactures to apply the semiconductor coating to huge surfaces including ceiling tiles and wallpapers, to develop a natural lighting.

Miller stated that NH-ICC would utilize the funds for the development of efficient lighting solutions. He added that the products could be manufactured at increased rates and would be economical to install. The lighting solutions will offer enhanced natural light with minimal energy consumption, Miller said.
