KEYMILE to Showcase Optical Multi-Service Access System at FTTH Conference 2011

KEYMILE will exhibit an optical multi-service access system at the FTTH Conference 2011 at the Milano Convention Centre, from 9 to 10 February 2011.

The MileGate system utilizes active optical Ethernet for its operations. The company serves as a Gold sponsor of the event that focuses on fibre optic technologies.

The use of optical Ethernet cards with increased port density allows the MileGate to link a maximum of 1,920 subscribers per 19’’ rack. The MileGate system’s point-to-point connections are suitable for the implementation of open-access models. In addition, it provides cable TV overlay for digital and analogue TV signals, enabling network operators to send cable TV signals and IP data traffic simultaneously.

The MileGate provides electrical interfaces for telephony, and VDSL/ADSL2plus as well as optical Ethernet for a maximum of GbE. It can function under various operating temperatures and delivers reliable and quick services from an exchange or outdoor cabinets.
