GAO Tek has released a new Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer (OTDR) with a built-in large color LCD screen. The 6413 OTDR is suitable for using in the maintenance, construction and manufacture of optical networks.
6413 Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer
The optical time-domain reflectometer locates breaks and faults in optical fibers and determines transmission, connection or unit loss. It has an increased dynamic range of 42-40 dB, pulse widths of 10-20,480 ns, sample resolution of 0.1 m with 65 k sampling points and a short event dead zone of 1.6 m.
The mini-OTDR provides a long identification range of 1.6-512 km, reads and writes files in file format Bellcore GR196. For selection, it comes with UPC or FC connectors. The reflectometer communicates with a PC through parallel, serial or USB interface. Furthermore, it has sufficient memory required for data storage.
