Tyco Electronics to Showcase Optical and Connectivity Solutions at DesignCon 2011

Provider of network solutions, Tyco Electronics (TE) will showcase various optical and other connectivity solutions at DesignCon 2011 in California, from 1 to 2 February 2011. The company’s theme for the show will be ‘Shaping Intelligent Connectivity’.

Tyco Electronics will unveil its PlanarMag embedded magnetic technology at the event and will also launch other products such as ESD (Electro Static Discharge) protection devices and 40-Gbps QSFP+ transceivers. In addition to these products, the company will exhibit the pluggable fiber optic transceiver modules; RJ point five and STRADA Mesa connectors; active and passive cable assemblies; and fiber optic and copper products at the event.

TE will demonstrate fiber optic solutions to highlight its vertical supply chain capabilities in optical engine-based PARALIGHT FDR Infiniband active optical cable assemblies, electronic PMD ICs, PINS and VCSELs. Other demonstrations include STRADA Whisper backplane connector and Quadra I/O connector.
