GAO Comm has rolled out a new 10/100 Mbps optical-to-electric media converter that extends the network transmission distance from 100 m to 120 km across copper wire. The MA830AS media converter is suitable for forwarding, storing and switching applications.
MA830AS Optical-to-Electric Ethernet Fiber Media Converter
net fiber converter enables the selection of numerous kinds of fiber ports including single-fiber single-mode, dual-fiber single-mode and dual-fiber multi-mode. It can operate in a stable mode for a long time and has minimal heat dissipation and minimal power consumption. The adaptive fast Ethernet fiber converter supports two diverse types of network connection media, namely the 100Base-FX and 10/100Base-TX.
The optical-to-electric media converter enables the transfer of long packets with a length of up to1552 bytes. It comes with a spanning tree protocol for establishing a redundant network. In addition, the fast converter allows automatic crossing of various twisted pair ports for system installation and debugging.
