GAO Fiber Optics Releases 5101 Visual Fault Locator for Fiber Optic Network

GAO Fiber Optics has rolled out a new visual fault locator that serves as a suitable tool for multi-mode and single-mode fibers. The 5101 fault locator is ideal for use in fiber optic network maintenance in CATV and telecommunications systems.

5101 Visual Fault Locator

The visual fault locator identifies micro-bends and breaks through jacketed fiber, and has end-to-end visual fiber identification. It has a maximum measurement range of 5 km and provides wavelengths in the range of 640-660 nm.

The 5101 visual fault locator operates for 30 h on a single battery charge. It features precise measurement, a universal connector and a sturdy design, enabling the device to analyze all types of bunched pigtails, ribbons or patch cords in the maintenance and installation of fiber optic networks.
