Comprehensive new product roll-out continues apace at Integration Technology Ltd (ITL) with the launch of a solution for more demanding inkjet pinning and entry level full-curing in the air-cooled LEDZero VTwin.
Well received by the ITL customer community, the VTwin Plus has already been adopted by Shanghai-based wide format developer Human Digital for their latest platform; the XUV-Jet.
The XUV-Jet uses Konica Minolta print heads partnered with Triangle inks, to produce a 720d.p.i. image in 4 pass mode. The ITL LEDZero VTwin Plus rated at 1.5W/cm² units are located on each side of the print engine for bi-directional printing, curing at speeds of 0.4 m/sec.
The new printer has already premiered at Chinese print shows, but makes it’s international debut at FESPA Americas in Orlando, Florida, 24th -26th February 2011.
Human Digital Managing Director Mack Xin comments: “Integration Technology has offered tremendous support throughout this project development. We are really excited about the potential for this platform, which combines quality and reliability combined with cutting edge technology, but at an affordable price.”
Providing twice the dose of the ITL Pincure, the LEDZero VTwin is also expandable into a seamless long line source for wider or industrial and related applications and, at only 32mm thick, can slot into confined spaces.
Designed in-house at ITL’s R&D Centre in the UK, the LEDZero VTwin represents the very latest step forward in solid state UV curing, consuming but a meager 32 watts of electrical energy per array. The advanced air cooling ensures a long service life (anticipated in excess of 20,000 hours) without the need for consumable parts.
The high speed switching of its array allows it to be switched on and off in sequence with the application process, thereby eliminating the risk of stray UV light and unnecessary standby power consumption.
