North Carolina-based company, Travers Lasik Vision Care is using the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q Laser, an advanced technology available for laser vision correction. The laser provides ultra-precise eye surgeries with fewer side effects.
The Allegretto Wave Eye-Q uses infrared cameras to trace eye movement at a speed of 400 fps during the LASIK surgery, marking the fastest laser in the US. It is the only 400 Hz Wavelight laser being used in Raleigh.
The PerfectPulse technology in the Alcon Wavelight laser provides small pinpoints of laser pulses according to the specific curvature of the eye, while the older lasers take out eye tissue in a flat, central approach that generates an edge. The Wavelight reshapes the eye tissues evenly, resulting in optimum vision result.
The FDA has approved the Allegretto Wave Eye-Q Laser technology for all laser vision corrections such as farsightedness, astigmatism and nearsightedness.
