Vizio 65-Inch 3D HDTV Wins 2011 Bluetooth SIG Best of CES Awards

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) has selected the Vizio 65-inch Class Theater 3D Edge Lit Razor LED LCD HDTV as the 2011 Bluetooth SIG Best of CES Awards’ overall winner.

The Bluetooth SIG is a body consisting of companies in the various industries and focuses on the development of the Bluetooth wireless technology.

The announcement was made by the Bluetooth SIG at the It Won’t Stay in Vegas Tweet House event at the CES 2011. The Best of CES Awards program has three categories, namely, Next, New, and Now. The categories represent the Bluetooth devices and prototypes that will be available in the next one year, such as healthcare and proximity monitoring devices; solutions new to the Bluetooth series, such as stereo audio systems and televisions; and the Bluetooth products currently featured in the market like automobiles, tablets, and mobile phones.

BodyMedia FIT Armband BW, iGrill, and Samsung Galaxy Tab were named the category winners for Next, New, and Now, respectively. The winning solutions will be listed in the Bluetooth SIG magazine, called SIGnature in the Spring 2011 issue.
