Panasonic Rolls Out HD Visual Communications System with Immersive 3D Capability

3D technology company, Panasonic has rolled out a new HD Visual Communications System (HDVC) that is equipped with immersive 3D capability. The company exhibited the 3D HDVC solution at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

The 3D HDVC system improves the productivity for major professional and commercial applications including education, manufacturing and healthcare. It offers 360° full duplex audio and full HD video for enhanced video conferencing applications.

The inclusion of improved depth of field enables medical surgeries to be viewed clearly for teaching and diagnosis. The manufacturing applications of the 3D system include real-time screening of computer aided design schematics. In addition, it enables full HD images to be shown on various HD monitors. Furthermore, the conferencing device can be used with numerous HD cameras, making a second camera to share and zoom in detailed images.
