SALSA 2011 to Highlight Applied Laser Technologies

The 6th Annual Symposium for Advanced Laser Applications (SALA) will take place in Hartford, Connecticut on 13 to 14 April, 2011.

The two-day exhibition and conference is a major laser conference in the Northeast that specifically focuses on manufacturing and end-user applications. The SALSA 2011 was announced by Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology (CCAT).

The event will feature presentations on various applied laser technologies that are utilized by manufacturers across the globe. The presentations will include a number topics, namely process control, optical systems for laser processing, coating removal, laser surface modifications, hybrid welding, laser welding, laser hole shaping, and fiber laser drilling.

The SALA 2011 will feature 40 tabletop displays by medium and small manufacturers, laser systems, support equipment, optics suppliers, and laser vendors. At the end of the event, participants will be invited to visit the Laser Applications Laboratory of CCAT situated at the Advanced Manufacturing Center.
