SemiProbe, developer of probing and inspection devices, has manufactured a cost-effective solar cell probe solution that is ideal for research applications.
The solar cell probe system is based on the Probe System for Life (PS4L) platform and enables users to configure the test devices to suit their requirements.
The company offers semiautomatic and manual probe systems for research applications that mainly deal on finished solar cells and material characterization.
The PS4L platform’s versatility enables users to alter their system when their test procedures and structures change.
SemiProbe’s Vice-President of Engineering, Mostafa Daoudi stated that the PS4L platform allows the company to offer probing configurations in less amount of time with enhanced flexibility. He added that the platform meets various needs in research and production areas, including material science and microelectronics.
Limited research funding, time to market pressures and modularity requirements have made the PS4L a suitable probing platform. The device can also be field upgraded when budgets and requirements change.
