Aiptek’s PocketCinema V50 Projector Features Luminus’ Big Chip LEDs

Developer of high light output LED solutions, Luminus Devices has demonstrated the Aiptek PocketCinema V50 projector at the CES Expo that was held in Las Vegas.

The PocketCinema V50 Projector integrates SBT-16 LED pico-projection chipset for Luminus with DLP Optical Technology for enhanced image quality. The pico-projection chipset is ideal for hand-held projectors that utilize micro-displays.

The V50 projector has a WVGA resolution of 848 x 480 pixels that allows projection from gaming consoles, notebooks, PCs, mobile phones, camcorders, digital cameras, and iPods. The projector’s inbuilt reader is compatible with various multimedia and business file formats and allows instant projection of movies or presentations. The projector also provides a maximum battery life of 2 hrs.

Aiptek’s Senior Manager for Marketing and Sales, stated that the V50 PocketCinema Projector is ideal for instant imaging. The projector’s compatibility with wireless units enhances the viewing experience because they are user-friendly and affordable for consumers.

Luminus Devices’ Director of Product Marketing, Stephane Bellosguardo commented that the SBT-16 LEDs are suitable for palm-size projectors and offer high-efficiency and brightness to enhance battery life.
