3M Touch Systems Exhibits Multi-Touch Displays at CES 2011

3M Touch Systems, provider of touchscreen solutions, has demonstrated three multi-touch displays at the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

The 23’’ industrial design display, which is based on 3M Projected Capacitive Technology (3M PCT), meets various multi-touch user requirements to deliver true, enhanced user experience.

The 3M PCT multi-touch technology can register over 10 simultaneous touch operations with a response time of 6 ms, making it a precise and efficient solution. The display is suitable for desktop applications and has improved multi-touch capability. It has a resolution of 1080p and can be rotated from landscape mode to portrait mode.

In addition, 3M exhibited the 22” and 32’’ 3M PCT LCD displays that provide 10+ finger multi-touch capability with a sturdy metal housing, HD display and a wide viewing angle. OEMs and integrators can integrate the displays into large systems. The displays are compatible with Linux, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems.
