Panasonic has expanded its 2011 LUMIX series with two new digital cameras called the LUMIX DMC-FH25 and the LUMIX DMC-FH27. Both cameras can capture ultra-quality 16.1 MP images and feature an 8x optical zoom and 28 mm wide-angle LEICA DC lens.
The models have large Intelligent LCDs and feature a number of functionalities such as sophisticated Intelligent Auto (iA) for easy handling and High Definition (HD) video recording with a resolution of 720p.
The digital cameras’ core feature is the Venus Engine VI image processor that comes with Intelligent Resolution technology for capturing ultra-quality digital videos and photos. The cameras have a shutter speed of 0.005 s and with the addition of Sonic Speed AutoFocus (AF), users can shoot spontaneous photos easily.
The cameras’ Intelligent Zoom can expand the 8x optical zoom to 10x through Intelligent Resolution technology without compromising the quality of the images.
The LUMIX FH25 and the LUMIX FH27 have two latest iA functions, Intelligent Exposure and AF Tracking. Intelligent Exposure provides maximum exposure for each point of an image, avoiding blown highlights and obstructed shadows and assuring details and shadows. AF Tracking fixes onto any object and maintains focus on the object even when it moves. The automatic backlight compensation functionality triggers each time when the camera senses that the object is in backlight.
The MEGA Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) decreases blurred pictures that happen from shaking of the hands. Intelligent ISO Control decreases haziness, while the object is traveling. Face Detection functionality allows proper focus with suitable exposure and corrects digitally unnecessary red eyes.
The Panasonic LUMIX FH25 has a 2.7" Intelligent LCD with no touch control. The LUMIX FH27 has a full touch-control function with the latest Smart Touch Screen on it s 230,000-dot, 3.0" large LCD that enables users to select the options such as Touch Zoom, Intelligent Scene Selector, Touch AF and Touch Shutter by simply contacting the screen. The touch control is now extended to menu setting in the LUMIX FH27 and thus users can browse images by dragging pictures using their fingers.
The digital cameras feature LUMIX Image Uploader functionality that allows the users to upload pictures effortlessly through Facebook and videos through YouTube. The digital cameras’ internal memory has improved to 70 MB.
