Aptina Releases AR0330 Digital Video Sensor with A-Pix Technology

Provider of CMOS imaging products, Aptina has launched a new 1/3’’ native full HD video sensor for consumer digital video applications. The AR0330 supports electronic image stabilization (EIS) and HD video modes, namely, 720p60, 1080p30 and 1080p60.

The video sensor is useful for video conferencing, sports action, web, camcorder, and pocket digital video applications. It incorporates the Aptina A-Pix pixel technology and a 2.2 µ pixel design, and delivers enhanced video and color quality. The AR0330 offers video capture at a frame rate of 60 fps and supports numerous serial interface options such as four-lane MIPI and four-lane HiSPi.

The multi-aspect ratio format of the AR0330 allows it to capture a 3.2 MP image. It supports WVGA with fast capture options of 240 and 120 fps to enable slow-motion video functions using the 3x3 on-sensor binning mode. The senor comes in a 6.28 x 6.65 mm CSP package design and an 11.43 x 11.43 mm ceramic LCC package.
