GAO Fiber Optics Unveils Cisco Compatible Transceiver for Telecommunication Applicationns

Provider of fiber optic measurement instruments, GAO Fiber Optics has launched a new CWDM-GBIC-1470 Cisco compatible transceiver that operates at 1470 nm wavelength.

The transceiver is suitable for data communications and telecommunications, and can work over the 0°C to 60°C temperature range.

Hot-swappable CWDM-GBIC-1470 Cisco Compatible Transceiver

The hot-swappable transceiver plugs into a slot of Cisco router/switch or an 802.3z compliant GBIC port to connect a fiber-optic network. In addition, it supports communications standards including Fiber Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, and SONET. The device has a compact form factor and delivers efficient operation.

The Cisco compatible transceiver supports various Cisco optical transport devices, routers and switches. It provides a dual SC/PC connector and a standard GBIC connector to enable network connection. In addition, the transceiver supports Fiber Channel 2Gbps and 1Gbps full-duplex links as well as Gigabit Ethernet 1.25Gbps full-duplex links with 30dB optical link budget.
