Sony Unveils DSC-WX9 and DSC-WX10 Cameras at CES 2011

Sony announced that it has launched two new models of the WX camera series at the CES 2011.

DSC-WX10 Camera

The DSC-WX9 and the DSC-WX10 cameras feature a 16.2 MP Exmor R sensor and captures movies at the rate of 1080/60i. Both the cameras feature Background Defocus and Backlight Correction HDR for optimizing the photography.

The DSC-WX10 camera has a 7x F2.4 lens and includes a 10 fps image capture and an Optical SteadyShot function. It has high-definition video capture capability and can take pictures and record movies at the same time. The camera also has various other features such as 3D sweep panorama and 3D still image capture. The manual operation available on the camera allows users to control the camera shot fully. The DSC-WX10 camera will be available in the market from March 2011.

The DSC-WX9 camera, in comparison features a 5x 24 m wide angle lens and a 10fps 16.2 megapixel Exmor R sensor. It also incorporates a 921,000 Xtra-Fine LCD with an enhanced Control Wheel.
