UK-based test and measurement company, CorDEX Instruments, has rolled out a new handheld laser distance meter that features easy-touch controls and raised buttons. The LaserMETER 3000XP is suitable for safety personnel who work in unsafe environments, and for operations and maintenance.

The laser distance meter has a sturdy cast aluminum chassis and a safety glass. It is certified for IECEx Zone 1 IIC T4 and ATEX and is available with additional accessories such as power supplies, charging stations and extra batteries.

CorDEX Instruments designed the laser distance meter to provide time-saving efficiency. Users can utilize on-board mathematics to determine Pythagoras' theorem, area and volume while operating in the field.

The LaserMETER 3000XP can be purchased via distributors in North America. The company also offers explosion-proof tools for mining and petro-chemical industries.
