Developer of telecommunication test devices, GAO Tek has unveiled a new handheld optical power meter that is suitable for relative loss measurement and absolute optical power measurement of fiber optics.
The 5303 optical power meter tests the optical power in the wavelength range between 800 nm and 1600 nm. It is ideal for installing and maintaining CATV and telecommunication networks.
The 5303 optical power meter provides a swift response time and a high-resolution LCD display. It has an automatic self calibration function, high accuracy test results, diverse range of power measurements, and a compact design. The device is water and dust resistant and conserves energy by utilizing the auto-off function. It has 3 dry cells that offer over 240 hours of operation.
The optical power meter’s moveable connector offers various types of connectors such as ST, SC, and FC. It offers calibrated wavelengths including 1625, 1490, 1550, 1310, 1300, and 850 nm. The unit displays the optical power in dBm, dB, and MW.
