Provider of fiber optic devices, GAO Fiber Optics has released a new intelligent light source with a large backlit LCD display.
5201 intelligent light source
The 5201 light source offers stable wavelength and output power for maintenance and troubleshooting in fiber optic networks, CATV system, telecommunications and optical network installation.
The intelligent light source can be used with the 5302 intelligent optical power meter to measure optical loss on multimode and single-mode fiber cables. It delivers -7 to -6 dBm output power at ±0.1 dB/8 h and includes an FP-LD emitter. In addition, the light source displays the test results on the LCD screen.
The 5201 light source offers dual wavelengths for particular needs such as 850/1300 and 1310/1550 nm wavelengths for multimode fiber and single mode fiber, respectively with switchable modulation frequencies of 2 kHz, 1 kHz, 270 Hz and CW. It is powered with a power supply adapter or a rechargeable battery and can operate for 15 h. In addition, the intelligent light source comes with PC and FC adapters.
