Siemon Unveils LockIT LC Optical Fiber Adapter Lock

Siemon announced that it has unveiled a new fiber-optic adapter lock that shields against unauthorized access to unused LC ports.

The LockIT LC adapter lock does not need any connectivity and can be used to capture nearly all kinds of LC optical fiber-based network infrastructure. The system offers physical layer security without affecting the overall density and functionality.

The LockIT LC adapter lock snaps into any kind of LC port. It prevents tampering and blocks cord access. It can be removed only by using a unique designed key. The unit offers complete access to all adjacent ports irrespective of the density. It is brightly colored to enable network personnel to swiftly recognize locked ports. The device can secure any work area or plug and play port, passive LC patching port, and active equipment LC port.

The Siemon LockIT product series incorporates a complete range of copper RJ-45 network connectivity, including lockable patch cords and a tamper-proof RJ45 outlet lock. The new LC fiber adapter lock, patch cord, and LockIT RJ-45 copper outlet lock use the same universal key, which is included in the unit.
