GAO Comm, provider of fiber-optic test instruments, announced that it has released a new portable optical talk set that is ideal for maintaining optic fiber communication networks for CATV. The 5B portable optical talk set can also be utilized as an optical laser source.
5B Optical Talk Set
The device utilizes sophisticated technology that enables high speech quality. The technology is also capable of communicating during adverse weather conditions.
The optical talk set functions over a wavelength range from 800 to 1700 nm and features calibrated wavelengths of 1550 and 1310 nm. It has a long-short communication switchover, automatic power-off function, low volume warning function and a three-way calling function to adapt to different kinds of locations. The unit can conduct full-duplex communication with enhanced connection. The portable optical talk set is compatible with SC, ST and FC adapters.
