Day4 Energy Extends Solar Cell Distribution Deal with Motech Industries

Solar PV solutions provider, Day4 Energy proclaimed that it has extended its distribution agreement with Motech Industries, a Taiwan-based solar cell producer.

As per the deal, Motech has agreed to supply more quantity of multi-crystalline silicon solar cells to Day4 Energy and Day4 solarSYSTEMS manufacturing partners. The increased volume is scheduled to commence during the beginning of January 2011.

Day4 solarSYSTEMS is marked as a market first, groundbreaking ready-to-use production program that radically modifies the conventional method of producing and supplying solar modules and photovoltaic cells.

Motech’s Vice President of Business Operations, Sam Tsou commented that the company anticipates a strong collaboration with Day4 Energy and is happy to provide support for the improvement of Day4 solarSYSTEMS.

Motech has recently improved its solar cell production capacity for 2011 by about 700 MW per year.
